Leigh Hansen has been teaching Latin grammar, prose, and poetry for over 35 years, with a special interest in the poetry of Catullus and Martial. She has a PhD in Indo-European Languages as well as an MA in Latin.

She feels that the flexibility and range of Latin  is uniquely able to express deep feelings with dignity and warmth. The Romans are distant from us in time, but their emotions were no different from ours today.

Leigh and her family have shared their lives with a dog, two cats, two guinea pigs and eight goldfish.
